Our ever-popular short length patch cables have been the preferred choice for new network patching installations for the past decade.
They’re ideal for panel to switch port replication, making them a perfect option for 1U and 2U network patching. They’re available in 15cm (6-inch) as Category 6, or 20cm (8-inch) as Category 6 and Category 6A across 10x popular colour options.
- Reduce the need for rack cable management
- Select between Cat6 and Cat6a options
- Minimal packaging for fast on-site installations
- Supplied in 24 packs, per colour, next day from stock
Category 6 Short Length RJ45 Patch Cables – 24AWG U/UTP LS0H Flush RJ45 Boot
Our Cat6 gigabit short length patch cables are manufactured using high grade 50µm gold connectors, with a LS0H (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) cable jacket and terminated with RJ45 flush moulded boots. Both the 15cm and 20cm options are supplied in handy 24 pack sizes to match the number of panel and switch ports within a standard installation. With no individual cable packaging, or annoying cable ties you can quickly and easily install accurate high-density patching, that will last the test of time.Category 6A Short Length RJ45 Patch Cables – 26AWG F/STP LS0H Snagless RJ45 Boot
The Cat6a 10Gigabit-BaseT short length is available as a 20cm option. They’re manufactured using a S/FTP shielded construction, coupled with a LS0H cable jacket and 50µm gold connectors. The RJ45 ends have flush moulded snagless boots and as expected, certified to 500Mhz to meet global Cat6a standards. In the past patch panels tended to be installed in the top U space of IT racks with cable managers, then switches and yet more cable managers added under neath. Although this type of installation would start off tidy, over time moves and changes would inevitably create a difficult to manage and untidy installation. Today’s installations enable the use of a 600mm, rather than 800mm patching rack, reducing the need for horizontal cable bars, and improving cable management by installing patch panels alternately with network switches.
Both the 15cm and 20cm length is defined by measuring from the cables strain relief to strain relief and they’ve been perfectly designed to ensure that unnecessary strain is not put on the twisted stranded cores, considering limitations with the cable bend radius. Once installed you have created your own Zero U horizontal cable managers by using the natural loop, allowing for longer uplink lengths to be passed through and connecting into other equipment and racks.
- UK and European shipping options
- Environmentally friendly packaging
Please note that 20cm is the shortest length available as Cat6a and we’re unable to manufacture and supply a reduced length. This is due to restricting the bend radius of shielded cable and avoiding putting too much strain on the cable, potentially hindering its required 10 Gigabit operation.
Patch Solutions Services
Cat6 & Cat6a Slim Patch Cables
Here at Patch Solutions, we provide a premium range of Slim diameter RJ45 network patch cables, making them an ideal choice for high density installations, creating up to a 30% cable space saving.
Cat6 & Cat6a Short Patch Cables
Our ever-popular short length patch cables have been the preferred choice for new network patching installations for the past decade. They’re ideal for panel to switch port replication, making them a perfect option for 1U and 2U network patching.
Cat6 Secure Locking Patch Cables
Our Cat6 security patch cable design improves compliance across any organisation, helping to protect assets without the need for additional investment in access control systems.
Flat Twin LC Duplex Fibre Cables
Manufactured using a flat cable jacket, these duplex assemblies are three times the thickness of standard patch cables, providing a far more robust construction and making them ideal for inter-rack connections.
C14 – C15 HOT IEC Power Cables
Manufactured using thicker 1.5mm² power cable, our IEC jumper extension cables are robust in their construction, yet flexible for ease of installation using a PVC H05VV-F cable jacket.
C15 Angled Cables & Adapters
Compatible with 250v/15A equipment, they are designed to operate in high ‘HOT’ temperatures for longer periods of time, unlike the thinner 10A equivalent.
IEC Secure Tension Sleeves
Secure retention sleeves are pushed over IEC connectors and plugs to provide a tighter fit to an installed power cable. Once in place, up to four times the force will be required for the power cable to be removed.
Modular Zettonics Cassette Solution
Secure retention sleeves are pushed over IEC connectors and plugs to provide a tighter fit to an installed power cable. Once in place, up to four times the force will be required for the power cable to be removed.
RJ Patch Locks and Blockout Devices
Quickly add a layer of physical security to your IT assets with a range of RJ Lockdown devices. Available as either cable locks or port block out devices, these are ideal for use in communal areas, preventing removals and connections of RJ45 cables, whether accidental or deliberate.
Bespoke Cable Labelling Solutions
At Patch Solutions, we don’t only supply superior IT cabling products, but also offer a wide range of additional services, helping to create that perfect installation. Our popular cable labelling service allows us to recommend a solution that will match your needs.
Pre-Terminated Fibre Solutions
Our controlled workshop facility is equipped to manufacturer a wide range of fibre solutions. Whether you’re looking for Tight Buffered or Loose Tube for internal use, or CST Armoured for use over a campus site, then you can rest assured that we have the right solution available.
Custom IT Cable Import Service
Patch Solutions already hold in stock 1000’s of standard lengths, colours and IT terminations across copper, fibre, and power cables. However, it is not unusual for clients to want something very specific that is not seen as standard within the industry.
