The Patch Solutions team will work with you in advance to design the project, taking in to account the core number count, cable jacket, modes, and lengths for the required installation. A detailed quotation will be provided, and final discussions had around fibre tail lengths, simplex or duplex connectors and labelling requirements for each of the final assemblies. The terminated fibres are then delivered to site on reels with pulling socks and are clearly labelled ready for immediate installation.

Tight Buffered, Loose Tube and CST Armoured Pre-Terminated Fibre Assemblies
Our depth of experience around datacentre cabinet to cabinet (rack to rack) links allows us to be very specific with lengths. This takes into consideration the required containment route and whether the terminated cable is to be installed in the front or rear of a rack and at what U height. Primarily we splice with LC connectors, however, we can also terminate with SC or ST connectors for legacy networks.
Category 6A Short Length RJ45 Patch Cables – 26AWG F/STP LS0H Snagless RJ45 Boot
The Cat6a 10Gigabit-BaseT short length is available as a 20cm option. They’re manufactured using a S/FTP shielded construction, coupled with a LS0H cable jacket and 50µm gold connectors. The RJ45 ends have flush moulded snagless boots and as expected, certified to 500Mhz to meet global Cat6a standards.Flat Twin OM4 and OS2 duplex fibre cables can also be manufactured to a required length. These are often ideal for when ISP’s terminate their service in to a co-location panel, often an MMR location that then links over a longer distance directly in to a customer’s datacentre space. We can also apply as an option before delivery, either a plastic or metal copex casing around the flat twin cable to protect from damage and add that extra layer of physical security for cable runs that are shared with other clients.

All fibre assemblies are full tested before they leave our warehouse and test results are included with the delivery and emailed across as a separate PDF. The results will document the exact length of each pre-terminated assembly, along with relevant data showing insertion and return loss of each of the fibre cores. A range of fibre patch panels can also be supplied for the project, pre labelled, matching exactly the corresponding fibre terminations.
Pre-terminated fibre solutions are a low-cost alternative to on-site installation work with no specialist tools required for installation. This allows the client to install and build their own fibre network, without requiring external contractors with their additional associated labour costs and 3rd party access requirements.

IEC Secure Tension Sleeves
