Have you ever disconnected the wrong patch cable?
IT patching installations tend to start off neat and tidy, however moves and changes are inevitable and the higher the density, the bigger the problem when it comes to identifying which patch cable goes where.
This is when Patchsee comes in to play as they offer a range of Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6a copper patch cables that use a unique light technology installed within the patch cable to immediately identify the other end of the cable link.
Patchsee have been busy innovating for nearly 20 years and for most of that time Patch Solutions have been proudly promoting their solution. With over 15 million cables sold in over 50 countries, they have now exceeded more than 100,000 corporate clients across all major markets. Available in multiple lengths from 0.6m to 30m, FTP or UTP and PVC or LSZH jacket, there is a cable for every eventuality from a small server room to a large data centre. If you require mission critical network performance, then this is a fantastic solution to implement.
Patchsee network cables are only available in a black coloured lead with an option of 16x coloured clips for easy first line identification of systems and applications, these snap securely onto each end of the cable. The light technology really comes into its own when you are using longer length cables, perhaps for Zonal or Top of Rack deployments, where patch cables are being passed between racks. The solution is then achieved by connecting a special torch to one end of the network cable, which in turns shines all the way through to the other end with either a stable or flashing coloured light. Patchsee offers speeds of up to 10GBaseT and the system has a 5 year warranty applied with every cable having a unique serial number for full system traceability.
If you have a potential requirement and would like a friendly discussion, then please do not hesitate to get in touch. We have various Patchsee scenarios installed in our demo suite and can send you a free demo kit including the new Cat6a slim cable, arrange a site survey to measure lengths of links and offer general advice around maintaining an intelligent copper infrastructure.
